Long-time John Deere agriculture dealers in eastern Virginia, James River Equipment and Rappahannock Tractor Co. are pleased to announce the merger of the two entities as equity partners as of January 1, 2010.

With the merger of James River Equipment with Fleet Brothers of Williamsburg (part of Rappahannock Tractor), JRE is now in the Purina Feed & Seed business. The store, located in Virginia off I-64 at the Toano exit (on Rt 60 E heading towards Willimsburg / Outlets), mixes the traditional John Deere and Stihl C&CE products with domestic and wild animal feeds and various pet and home & garden products.

2nd Annual Rocktoberfest a Success!

On October 29, James River Equipment partnered up with Rockingham Redi-Mix, Rockingham Steel, Wilson Ready Mix, and others to present the 2nd Annual Rocktoberfest. Over 450 participants enjoyed dinner, live music, fellowship, and a competitive equipment rodeo second to none.
