James River Equipment – Harrisonburg Tractor Cruise-In 9/21/2013 The annual tractor parade during the Tractor Cruise-In left from our James River Equipment Harrisonburg store at 9 am on September 21, 2013. There was a good turnout, despite the forecast of rain, and a fun time had by all. The tractor parade drove to “Back Home on the Farm” (Greenhouse, farm and corn maze), where the drivers were able to participate in several contests. Contests held were “Closest to the Pin”, “Log Chain Placement”, FFA Tractor Driving – Haywagon backing, and an Adult pedal tractor pull. Also for everyone's enjoyment, there was a “Punkin Chunkin Cannon” which shot water filled basketballs and pumpkins at a bus. The tractor parade left “Back Home on the Farm” and drove through Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community, where many of the residents were able to view the parade. There was a wide variety of tractors in the parade, and two girls in the parade were driving tractors that were owned by their great grandfathers
