Deere Beer (aka Leaping Lager or Team Deere Beer) did exist and now fetches around $200 a bottle by bleeding green collectors. So don’t drink it if you have one in your fridge! Back in 1994 the label was done by an ad agency who was contracted by Deere & Company. They called themselves “Team Deere” which is why “Team Deere Beer” appears on the bottles. They created the bottles as Christmas gifts for the Deere employees in the Ag Advertising Department who worked on the account. Most of the bottled beer was consumed on the spot by the people receiving the gift. Apparently, some unnamed person in the Kansas City Deere branch saw the bottles and ordered a few cases. As Deere & Co corporate bylaws prohibit their trademark from being represented on alcohol, the beer production was promptly squashed. So, the bottles that still remain out there are rare and collectible.
