The history of James River Equipment dates back to 1926 when Rudolph Romer opened his first John Deere Dealership in Holly, Colorado. In 1977, the Romers made the decision to expand eastward and purchased four construction and forestry dealerships in Virginia which were combined to form James River Equipment. Since 2001, James River Equipment has added on average one new location and one new partner per year. James River Equipment is currently seeking a qualified Field Technician for our Richlands location. Provide service and customer support during field visits
Manage on site installation, repair, maintenance & test tasks
Ability to diagnose errors / technical problems & determine solutions
Respond to work order requests in a timely manner
Repair, install & adjust equipment
Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience working on heavy equipment trouble shooting hydraulics & electrical
Knowledge of methods, materials, tools & techniques for repair
Ability to lift/push up to 75 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Clean driving record
