The history of James River Equipment dates back to 1926 when Rudolph Romer opened his first John Deere Dealership in Holly, Colorado. In 1977, the Romers made the decision to expand eastward and purchased four construction and forestry dealerships in Virginia which were combined to form James River Equipment. James River Equipment is currently seeking a qualified Sales Associate for our Martinsville location. Sell aftermarket replacement parts, machine attachments and repair services to an existing customer base.
Perform basic inspections on customer’s machines to generate parts and service sales opportunities.
Work closely with product support operations to generate timely and accurate customer quotations.
Perform new machine delivery introductions to ensure customers are aware of JRE services and department member contact information.
Utilize company systems to maximize call planning, opportunity management and product information.
College or Technical degree preferred.
Previous sales experience in the equipment industry preferred, however, industry related skill sets, knowledge or experience will be considered.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Customer led and ability to work in a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Self-starter and comfortable working independently in a fast paced environment.
Valid Driver’s License/Clean Driving Record required.
